INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2026

MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur conducted the Investiture Ceremony 2026–2027 on Friday, 22 May 2026, under the theme “Leading with Integrity, Serving with Humility.” The solemn occasion marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council Members and House Captains for the academic session.
 
The programme began with a Bible reading by Chubasenla of Class 7A, followed by the Academic Procession accompanied by the School Anthem. Rev. Fr. Giju George, Vice-President, in his Presidential Address, reminded the young leaders to be role models in discipline, punctuality, and respect, and encouraged them to serve society through their leadership.
 
The Oath Taking Ceremony was conducted by Mdm. Supongsenla Jamir, where the newly elected leaders pledged to discharge their duties with sincerity, integrity, and humanity. Principal Shri. Reji Abraham handed over badges to the School Council Members and symbolically entrusted the School Flag to the School Captain, Mr. Tokupu Ayemi, signifying the transfer of responsibility. Vice-President Fr. Giju George presented sashes to the House Captains and Vice-Captains.
 
In his acceptance speech, School Captain Mr. Tokupu Ayemi thanked the voters and organizers for their trust and assured everyone that the council would uphold the values and traditions of the school. Principal Shri. Reji Abraham, in his congratulatory note, urged the student leaders to “lead by example” and work together with discipline, obedience, and coordination.
 
The programme was further enriched by a melodious solo song by Ms. Narsen Ovung of Class 11. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. Renji Thomas, and the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem sung by the students of Classes 9 and 10.
 
The event was conducted with dignity, discipline, and decorum, inspiring students to embrace leadership and responsibility with humility and integrity.
