Mar Gregorious Memorial (M.G.M) Higher Secondary School, Dimapur was founded in the year 1985. M. G. M. Schools are a chain of educational institutions of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (also referred as Indian Orthodox Church Founded By St. Thomas, the Apostle of Jesus Christ in A.D.52) spreading the light of knowledge throughout India. Everywhere, M. G. M. Schools stand in high esteem with excellent standard and best discipline.

The first M.G.M. School was established in Kerala in honour of Mar Gregorious the 19th century Bishop of Syrian Orthodox Church who was a great educationist and social reformer. Mar Gregorious is the first Indian Christian to be proclaimed as a saint. The co-operative efforts of the Orthodox Church members in Nagaland and other well-wishers has brought M.G.M. school Dimapur into existence.

Late glorified Arch Bishop Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius is the founder of the School. Now we have Nursery to Class XII with Science, Commerce and Arts streams in Higher Secondary classes. It is nothing but Divine Grace and the powerful intercession of the Great Saint that enables us to tread the height of excellence day by day
